Ernies Fried Chicken 08-02-24 I stopped by to get lunch It's a small place but nice. I used the order window and waited in my car till they called my name. We had; Chicken Fried Steak with Mashed Potatoes and Fries. Tasted like processed Steak that came frozen. But it was good with the gravy and potatoes. Steak Finger Basket with Fries. Same as the Chicken Fried Steak 9 Piece Chicken Tenders. Tender and good. I also got 1/2 Dz Chicken Livers that were battered well and had good flavor. I Ordered the Catfish Only which came with Tarter Sauce and Two Hushpuppies. Good Cornmeal Batter and crispy on the outside and soft on the inside. All in all it was OK. Nothing special but still good. I would go back to try their Fried Chicken and Breakfast Tacos! The employee that waited on me was very friendly and nice. Overall it was a pleasant experience

Where do I start this been one of the ones !!! Been serving and delivering chicken before Uber eats was known of !!!! Services is always good and quick haven't ever had to wait much The breakfast burritos are the best in the area by far The chicken of course is a hot The gizzards are the main thing I go for lawrd are they amazing lacking nothing Mashed potatoes always on point I love this place !!!
Get the Fat. I have been eating here since the late 90's. Customer service is always great. Very old building, it is very much the whole in the wall.
I first ate here when I was young, probably 20 years ago, and even tho I live in a Alabama now I have went out of my way to go thru Belton again just for Ernie's! It hasn't changed at all! I even brought my husband twice and he loved it!! This really is some of the best fried chicken I've had. I hope this place never changes and I can't wait to come back.
Atmosphere is somewhat of a dive but the chicken was good. It was moist and I liked the breading. It did take awhile to get our order and we only got one fork for the two of us. I would eat there again and would like to try the breakfast burritos.
